Sharing our Black History Month Edition of the Books, Poetry, Positivity and Purpose Newsletter. Please join our mailing list to have our newsletters emailed to you.

We honored Black History Month, with the spotlight on Martin Luther King, Jr., and Marcus Garvey. Included in the newsletter are helpful articles on the art of writing, and some tips on public speaking for my fellow introverts who prefer the dentist's chair to public speaking.

I am still reflecting on these quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr and Marcus Garvey.

“‪If you want to say that I was a drum major, say that I was a drum major for justice. Say that I was a drum major for peace. I was a drum major for righteousness. All of the other shallow things will not matter.” Martin Luther King, Jr. “A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.” Marcus Garvey.
