WAKANDA LOVE
The Black Panther movie was everything! The ride was thrilling and Ryan Coogler's genius and his obvious respect for the continent of Africa was obvious in every scene. I was inspired by the protective spirit of the women who fiercely protected the Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). Kudos to Lupita Nyongo, Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Forest Whitaker, Michael B. Jordan and the entire cast for their spectacular performances. This poem was inspired by the women of Wakanda.

anoint you with oil, stimulate your senses
remind you of your strength, agility, stamina, genius
make you feel your super human powers

nourish you with the potions of our ancestors
fill your veins with euphoria
watch the God in you rise up
I want to
be caught up in your rapture
always by your side with my spear in hand
ready to protect your heart and your throne
fiercely serving you in our Wakanda.
